Moravia Resiste: Resistance and Land Use in Colombia

Moravia has been a community defined by resilience and resistance since its settlement. Over the last 50 years, Moravitas have built a community and fought for its survival, and their fight is not over yet.   The video below was the culmination of a year long ICRU project created by Dr. Kristine Munoz and Anne Crooks.  This video puts the Moravia Resiste movement in the context of land use and urban planning policy since the passing of the 1991 Colombian constitution. This project will appear in Insights on Latin America and the Caribbean: An Ethnographic Reader by Melanie A. Medeiros and Jennifer Guzmán in 2022.
